I am a Partner in our Family team, based at our Harpenden office.

I advise on a diverse range of family law matters, specialising in dealing with financial claims arising during divorce proceedings and private children law cases. I have extensive experience of dealing with cases involving substantial assets and sensitivities relating to family businesses. I am experienced in dealing with financial and children cases where there are international considerations. I also advise clients on safeguarding assets through the creation of pre and post-nuptial agreements.

I approach cases with both sensitivity and practicality and I pride myself on being able to secure the best possible outcome for my clients. Where relationships have broken down I help to reduce conflict and am able to settle the vast majority of cases without recourse to litigation. This approach is welcomed by clients wishing to avoid contested proceedings.

I am a trained collaborative lawyer. Collaborative law enables parties to discuss and agree a settlement that works for them and provides more flexibility than traditional negotiations. I apply the skills gained as a collaborative practitioner to my cases so that clients benefit from my ability to work effectively with other parties, finding ways to engage constructively with the other side however complex the case.

I take an active role in supervising junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals and am responsible for  organising training for the Family team, ensuring that our clients benefit from the most up to date Family Law knowledge.

I joined Taylor Walton in 2011, initially as a trainee solicitor. I remained with the Firm upon qualifying as a Solicitor and became a Partner in 2019.
